Audiology Assistant Summary by State
The state does not regulate the role of an audiology assistant.
Recommend that you follow requirements found in most states and use the guidelines for ASHA, AAA and ADA.
1. Minimum education - High School diploma or state equivalent.
2. Training course establishing supervised training from the supervising audiologist.
3. A detailed utilization document that explains the duties of the role of an audiology assistant that are supervised by the audiologist.
The Audiology Academy (http://www.audiologyacademy.com)training course follows all of the ASHA. AAA and ADA board recommendations for the audiology assistant. The course will also assist with all the training and help build the utilization document.
